Visited the cities of Shanghai and Suzhou, Jiangsu, China recently. The first big impression, Traffic behaviour. I took some short videos at three intersections – at various time of day. One intersection had traffic lights, two did not.
The kindness of giving way, the kindness of patience, the kindness of tolerance. Or was it giving way because of the rules, accepting the thoughtless driving of others, exhaustion of dealing with confused traffic behaviour.
What can we learn if anything from the driving behaviour of the Chinese? Check out the video, not once, but view several times to appreciate the compexity of the traffic.
